Mikako Kouda (幸田 実果子 Kōda Mikako) is a supporting character in the Paradise Kiss anime and manga series.
In this series, Mikako is introduced as the President of her clothing brand: Happy Berry. She is also known to be the childhood friend and wife of Tsutomu Yamaguchi, the mother of Alice Yamaguchi, as well as the older sister of Miwako Sakurada.
Biography[]
(Gokinjo Monogatari series):
Before the events of Paradise Kiss, Mikako served as the main protagonist in Gokinjo Monogatari.
Known for her tenacious but eccentric personality, Mikako was a student who attended Yazawa School for the Arts with the aspiration to become a fashion designer, in order to sell her handiwork under the name: Happy Berry.
(Paradise Kiss):
In this series, Mikako serves as a supporting but minor character. Followed by this, she is married to Tsutomu Yamaguchi and they have one child together, she also serves as an alumnus for Yazawa School for the Arts, as her younger sister and friends from ParaKiss are current students. She is also seen helping Yukari with pursuing her path to modeling, followed by reaching out to a friend from a modeling agency to assist the latter in getting started.

'kako shared such a resemblance to 'wako that Arashi Nagase mistakenly grabbed her once. Although 'kako apparently has a smaller chest than her little sister, in spite of being fully adult.

Mikako changes back to blonde by Episode 5.
Mikako is a cute young woman with a petite and slender frame.
She has fair skin, big brown eyes, full pink lips that's described as characteristically "pouty", and shoulder length pink hair that's quite similar to Miwako's. However, she can also be seen with blonde hair much like the original series.
Due to how remarkably similar Mikako is to her younger sister, appearance-wise, this likely results a comical gag as Arashi Nagase was the first to mistake the former for his girlfriend after he had groped her from behind (anime episode 4), followed by Yukari Hayasaka - who had also mistaken her for Miwako (anime episode 6).
Because of her height and youthful appearance, she could easily be mistaken for a teenager. Even if she's in her mid 30's.
Personality and traits[]
Much like the original series, Mikako's tendency to shout "WARP!" and dash off at the speed of light remains intact. Something that usually (albeit comically) results those to outwardly question how old she is.
Aside from that habit, Mikako is introduced as a well-rounded, charismatic, kind, mature, and hardworking young woman. Now that she's the president of her own clothing company and that she also has a family of her own.

Etymology[]
- The name Mikako means "fruit, good result, truth" (実) (mi), "fruit" (果) (ka) and "child" (子) (ko).
- Mikako's surname Kouda means "happiness, good luck" (幸) (kou) and "field, rice paddy" (田) (ta/da).
- Her married name Yamaguchi means "mountain, hill" (山) (yama) and "mouth, entrance" (口) (kuchi/guchi).

- In Episode 6, Mikako mentions that she is 36 years old.
- Since Mikako is married to Tsutomu Yamaguchi, it is possible that she is now Mikako Yamaguchi (山口 実果子 Yamaguchi Mikako).
